Hampton is Peterborough's Southern Township in England. There are currently two areas within Hampton Peterborough - Hampton Hargate and Hampton Vale.
Both areas have seen rapid expansion over recent years, including the opening of primary schools in both areas. Work is currently underway on a secondary school to serve both areas and is due to be completed in 2005/2006.
The two areas share a central shopping centre- Serpentine Green which includes a number of retail outlets, resturants and health centre.
Retails outlets include: Tesco's NEXT Gap MVC Warehouse Clinton's Cards WH Smiths Whittards Evans New Look Top Man Boots H&M Carphone Warehouse
Recent attempts to expand the storage & floor space at Serpentine Green shopping centre have been blocked by Peterborough Council n favour of the re-development of Peterborough City Centre.
A local business park was completed in 2003/2004 and has seen rapid growth with a number of local businesses setting up there.
