HP Scanjet 5550c
|
Made by Hewlett-Packard.
The HP Scanjet 5550c is a flatbed scanner with a 30-sheet ADF, and five direct function buttons on the front for scanning, web publishing, writing to CD, e-mailing and printing scanned images. It has drivers for Mac OS X and Windows, which are supplied with it, but not for the open-source SANE system, which runs on Linux, BSD, etc. Caveat emptor: This scanner's drivers are reported to be of poor quality. Once the user figures out how to use it, it is a nice scanner though.
It is believed to have the same chipset, GL841_HP, as the ScanJet 5500C, ScanJet 4500C, ScanJet 5530C Photosmart and 4570C.
