HMS Spitfire

Several ships of the Royal Navy have carried the name HMS Spitfire. All are named after the euphemistic translation of Cacafuego, a Spanish treasure galleon captured by Sir Francis Drake.
- HMS Spitfire, 16 fought in the Napoleonic wars and the War of 1812 before being sold in 1825.
- HMS Spitfire (1895) was a Swordfish class destroyer which was scrapped in 1912.
- HMS Spitfire (1912) was a destroyer attached to Admiral John Jellicoe's fleet at the Battle of Jutland.
