HMAS Strahan

HMAS Strahan (J-363/M-363), named for the town of Strahan in Tasmania, was a Bathurst class corvette built by the State Dockyard at Newcastle, New South Wales, launched on 12 July 1943 by Mrs. J. J. Cahill, wife of the Minister for Public Works and Local Government, and commissioned on 14 March 1944. HMAS Strahan paid off to reserve on 25 January 1946, was sold for scrap on 6 January 1961 and broken up at Green Point in Sydney in March 1963.Template:Mil-ship-stub
