Guardian of Zion Award

The Guardian of Zion Award is an annual award given to Jews who have been supportive to the State of Israel. Started from 1997, this award has been given to Elie Wiesel (1997), Herman Wouk (1998), A.M. Rosenthal (1999), Sir Martin Gilbert (2000), Cynthia Ozick (2001), Charles Krauthammer (2002), Ruth Roskies Wisse (2003) and Arthur Cohn (2004) (one British, one Swiss and six Americans ).
