Grimsby Town F.C.

Template:Football club infobox

Grimsby Town F.C. are an English football club in Football League Two, who in 2004 finished towards the bottom of the league. The club is actually located at Blundell Park in Cleethorpes, the seaside town conurbation of Grimsby on the river Humber in the north of England. They are the only football club in England that play in a town that is different to their name. Russell Slade, formerly the manager of Scarborough football club, became the new manager of Grimsby Town on the 28th May 2004.

Sadly the 2004/05 season has been disappointing for the Mariners although at least the run of consecutive relegations has been halted. Town's form has never put them in serious contention for promotion all season. The boards decision in March 2005 to confirm Russell Slade as manager for the 2005/06 has had a mixed response. Town will need to improve significantly in the 2005/06 season if they are to realise their dream of having higher league football played once again at Blundell Park.
