Greg Walden

Greg Walden (born January 10, 1957, in The Dalles, Oregon) is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Oregon and represents that state's second congressional district (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/or02_109.gif)) , based in Hood River.
Walden received a bachelor of sciences degree from the University of Oregon in 1981.
He was an Oregon state representative from 1989-1995 and an Oregon state senator from 1995 to 1997. Walden was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1998 and began serving in 1999 (106th Congress). He is a member of the energy and commerce, and resources committees. Outside of politics, Walden is the owner of Columbia Gorge Broadcasting Co., which runs 5 stations in the Hood River-The Dalles corridor.
Walden is an Episcopalian; his wife's name is Mylene.
