The Gravis Gamepad is a game controller produced by Advanced Gravis Computer Technology very similar to that used by the SNES game console. The Gamepad consists of a thumb-operated directional pad and four buttons. In the centre of the D-pad is a hole where a small joystick can be attached. Switches allow left- or right-handed operation and autofire capability. It was first made for IBM PC compatibles for which it was one of the first digital controllers available. Later versions were made for Macs and Amiga/Atari ST.
A variation of this controller that resembles a Playstation controller was also made.
