Granger was officially incorporated on September 28, 1909.
Geography
Granger is located at 46°20'40" North, 120°11'29" West (46.344319, -120.191290)Template:GR.According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.3 km² (1.3 mi²). 3.2 km² (1.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.79% is water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,530 people, 570 households, and 501 families residing in the town. The population density is 781.5/km² (2,019.7/mi²). There are 609 housing units at an average density of 188.1/km² (486.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 20.20% White, 0.00% African American, 0.79% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 76.36% from other races, and 2.65% from two or more races. 85.53% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 570 households out of which 60.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.2% are married couples living together, 13.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 12.1% are non-families. 9.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 4.44 and the average family size is 4.69.
