Grand Falls-Windsor is a small city in north-central Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is in Division No. 6, on the Exploits River.
Built around forestry and the pulp and paper industry in the early 1900s the town has since grown to become one of the largest communities in Newfoundland. The immediate area surrounding the town is rich in wildlife such as moose, caribou, black bear, fox, and grouse. The Exploits River is the largest in the Province and the excellent salmon fishing attracts anglers from around the world. The Salmon Interpretation Centre, which is located outside of town at the site of the salmon ladder is largest of its kind in North America, and it provides spectaluar views of water falls and salmon jumping them. Each July the town hosts The Exploits Valley Salmon Festival, one of the largest music festivals in Canada.
