Goldeen is a fictional, Water-type Pokémon. It is a colorful fish that normally has a horn attack.
Goldeen also appears in Super Smash Bros Melee, where it does pretty much nothing (splash), although this role would be better associated with Magikarp. This may be a reference to the Pokémon TV show, where in the first appearance of Goldeen, it just splashed around doing nothing (since it wasn't in water)
Name Origin
"Gold-" refers to the fact that it resembles a goldfish. It is possible that the "-een" may be "queen," but its most likely meaning is a simple feminine suffix (misspelling of "-ine").
