Gling-Gló was the debut and unique album released by Björk Guðmundsdóttir & Tríó Guðmundar Ingólfssonar, an Icelandic jazz band in 1990 formed by renowned singer Björk Guðmundsdóttir and the Tríó Guðmundar Ingólfssonar (Guðmundur Ingólfsson’s Trio), formed by Guðmundur Ingólfsson in piano, Guðmundur Steingrímsson in drums, and finally Þórður Högnason in bass. "Gling-Gló" is an Icelandic onomatopoeia, whose English equivalent is "Ding Dong," or the sound that bells make.

This album was recorded on September 1 and 3, 1990 at Stúdio Sýrland with the production of Tómas Magnús Tómasson, bassist of Stuðmenn, who also did the mix for this album.
Gling-Gló contains Icelandic themes and three versions: “Ruby Baby”, by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, and the jazz standards “I Can’t Help Loving That Man” (by Oscar Hammerstein II and Jerome Kern) and finally, “Þad Sést Ekki Sætari Mey”, Icelandic version of de “There Is No Sweeter Girl”, adaptation by Richards Rogers y Hammerstein II.
