Gibbstown is a census-designated place located in Gloucester County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 3,758.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²). 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,758 people, 1,453 households, and 1,060 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 890.2/km² (2,302.4/mi²). There are 1,513 housing units at an average density of 358.4/km² (927.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 96.65% White, 1.09% African American, 0.11% Native American, 0.69% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. 1.52% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,453 households out of which 31.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% are married couples living together, 11.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.0% are non-families. 23.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.58 and the average family size is 3.05.
