Private George Lawrence Price (1898 – 11 November 1918) was a Canadian soldier who is traditionally recognised as being the last Commonwealth soldier killed during the First World War.
He was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, and served with A company of the 28th Battalion. On the 11th of November Price was part of an advance to take the small village of Havre.
He was shot near the heart by a German sniper at 10:58. The First World War ended with the armistice at 11:00.
