According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 8.4 km² (3.3 mi²). 8.4 km² (3.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,438 people, 354 households, and 312 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 170.3/km² (440.6/mi²). There are 420 housing units at an average density of 49.7/km² (128.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 82.41% White, 0.21% African American, 1.46% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 14.81% from other races, and 1.11% from two or more races. 97.71% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 354 households out of which 57.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.6% are married couples living together, 18.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 11.6% are non-families. 10.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
