Gaetano Salvemini

Gaetano Salvemini (September 8, 1873–1957) born in Molfetta, Puglia was an anti-Fascist writer born in Italy. He taught history at the universities of Messina (1902), Pisa and Florence. His first writings were not taken seriously as his warnings came too soon.
He wrote about Giovanni Giolitti and his corrupt practices. He was exiled for being against Benito Mussolini as he grabbed power.
Gaetano Salvemini appears on an Italian postage stamp.
