The GLOCK 26 is a pistol manufactured by GLOCK. It is a sub-compact frame GLOCK based on the GLOCK 19 and chambered for the 9mm Luger round. It features a small frame, short barrel and slide, and small magazine. It is a very popular self-defense and carry pistol, owing in part to the popularity of the 9 mm Luger round, of which the GLOCK 26's standard magazine can hold 10.
Because of its small frame size, the GLOCK 26's grip is too short for many shooters to hold comfortably without the aid of an aftermarket magazine extension.
Like most GLOCK guns, the name is often referred to as a "Glock" and not as "GLOCK". According to GLOCK—the company that manufactures the gun—this is incorrect. GLOCK refers to all its guns with all uppercase letters.
