Fulton is a town located in Aransas County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,553. The town is named for George Ware Fulton, a land developer in the area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 5.7 km² (2.2 mi²). 3.5 km² (1.4 mi²) of it is land and 2.2 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 38.36% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,553 people, 707 households, and 439 families residing in the town. The population density is 444.2/km² (1,149.9/mi²). There are 1,008 housing units at an average density of 288.3/km² (746.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 84.61% White, 1.16% African American, 0.90% Native American, 8.89% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 2.25% from other races, and 2.12% from two or more races. 11.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 707 households out of which 18.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.5% are married couples living together, 7.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.8% are non-families. 32.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.20 and the average family size is 2.77.
