Frehley's Comet

Frehley's Comet is a band formed by ex-Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley in 1982, following the release of the album Music from the Elder. Other members included Tod Howarth (singer/guitars), John Regan (bass/vocals), and Jamie Oldaker (drums).
The best effort from the group came with its self-titled 1987 release. Beginning with the autobiographical "Rock Soldiers," a look at Frehley's own dark period of substance abuse, and through to the end with "Fractured Too," a well-done remake of Ace's instrumental from his first solo album in the '70s, the Frehley's Comet album is technically sound, highly-respectable, guitar-driven rock and roll. The drummer on the album is the proficient Anton Fig, known more popularly as the drummer on David Letterman's show for decades. The song that received the biggest MTV airplay was "Into the Night," while "Rock Soldiers" was also played.
Ace later rejoined his ex-bandmates on Kiss reunion tours.
