Frankish Alb

de:Fränkische Alb The Frankish Alb (German Fränkische Alb) is an upland in Bavaria, Germany. Located between the Danube in the south and the Main in the north, its relief reaches 600 meters in height.
Large portions of the Frankish Alb are part of the Altmühl Valley Nature Park. The scenic meanders and gorges formed by the Altmühl River draw tourists to visit the region.
Geologically, the Frankish Alb is the eastern continuation of the Swabian Alb. The mountain chains are separated from each other by the crater of the Nördlinger Ries.
