Notable franco-manitobans include writer Gabrielle Roy, singer-songwriter Daniel Lavoie, federal Members of Parliament Ronald Duhamel and Raymond Simard, provincial MLAs Neil Gaudry and Kevin Lamoureux, country singer Lucille Starr and cellist Michael Nicolas.
