Francis Hincks

The Honourable Sir Francis Hincks, KBE,PC (December 14, 1807 – August 18, 1885) was born in Cork, Ireland. He was Premier of Canada from 1851 to 1854. He was also an editor of the Toronto Express newspaper. He was dedicated to the cause of responsible government. He was Minister of Finance from 1869 until 1874.
