Forest City is a city located in Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 4,362. It is the county seat of Winnebago CountyTemplate:GR.

The racial makeup of the city is 95.97% White, 0.57% African American, 0.07% Native American, 1.22% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 1.47% from other races, and 0.69% from two or more races. 3.26% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
