The Flag of Pennsylvania consists of the state coat of arms surrounded by draft horses on both sides and the bald eagle above. The state coat of arms includes a ship, a plow, and three sheaves of wheat. Above the ribbon, there is a corn stalk. The scroll below the coat of arms reads: "Virtue, Liberty and Independence." The current flag was adopted by Pennsylvania in 1907.
