The flag of Eritrea contains from top to bottom the colours green, red and blue. Green stands for the fertility of the country respectively for agriculture; blue stands for the ocean (both colours are in right triangles) and red (in the middle in a isosceles triangle) for the blood lost in the figt for freedom. In the red triangle is yellow olivebranch surrounded by a same-coloured olive-branch-wreath. It shows 14 leaves on each side.
