Finance Minister of Pakistan

The Finance Minister of Pakistan heads the Ministry of Finance. He serves in the cabinet of the Prime Minister. The Minister is required to be a member of Parliament.
List of Finance Ministers
- Malik Ghulam Mohammad Later became Governor-General. Served as Finance Minister from 1947 - 1951.
- Ghulam Ishaq Khan Later became President. Served as Finance Minister early in the administration of General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq.
- Mahbub ul-Haq Professional Economist. Finance Minister 1982-1984. Later created the Human Development Index.
- Nawaz Sharif Later became Prime Minister. Served as Finance Minister late in the administration of Zia-ul-Haq.
- Shahid Javed Burki Professional Economist. Finance Minister in the caretaker government of Malik Meraj Khalid.
- Sartaj Aziz Serving in Nawaz Sharif's cabinet, he was Finance Minister twice, and has also served as the Foreign Minister.
- Ishaq Dar Finance Minister in 1999 in Nawaz Sharif's cabinet, after Sartaj Aziz.
- Shaukat Aziz Former Citibank VP. Finance Minister from October 1999 to present. Prime Minister from August 28, 2004 to present.
