History
Farmington was officially incorporated in 1888.
Geography
Farmington is located at 47°5'26" North, 117°2'47" West (47.090501, -117.046505)Template:GR.According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 153 people, 56 households, and 38 families residing in the town. The population density is 173.7/km² (445.3/mi²). There are 64 housing units at an average density of 72.7/km² (186.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.04% White, 0.00% African American, 1.31% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 5.88% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 56 households out of which 37.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.4% are married couples living together, 8.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.1% are non-families. 32.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.73 and the average family size is 3.47.
In the town the population is spread out with 36.6% under the age of 18, 3.9% from 18 to 24, 20.9% from 25 to 44, 27.5% from 45 to 64, and 11.1% who are 65 years of age or older.
