According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.8 km² (1.5 mi²). 3.8 km² (1.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.36% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,097 people, 418 households, and 290 families residing in the village. The population density is 292.1/km² (756.3/mi²). There are 459 housing units at an average density of 122.2/km² (316.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.63% White, 0.55% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.27% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. 0.55% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
