Fairlight Children

Fairlight Children is a Synth pop side project from Stephan Groth of Apoptygma Berzerk. The band has two other members, Tiff and Marianne.
The band name was presumably inspired by Fairlight, an early computer game and a demo group on the Commodore 64. The distinctive sound of the Commodore, already apparent in such Apoptygma Berzerk tracks as 64K and Apoptygma Goes C64, has an even stronger influence on the music of Fairlight Children.
Fairlight Children's first album, '808bit', was released in March 2004. The title is a pun on 808 (a type of music synthesizer) and 8 bit (the machine architecture of the Commodore 64 and other early home computers).
