Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 47.0 km² (18.1 mi²). 45.7 km² (17.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.70% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 2,928 people, 1,165 households, and 778 families residing in the town. The population density is 64.1/km² (165.9/mi²).
