Enturbulation
|
Enturbulation is a term used in Scientology to describe a truth or fact that is disturbing to Scientology customers, or which expresses or exposes a crime or abuse Scientology has allegedly imposed upon either previous customers or on the "wog" populace.
The root of the term enturbulation stems from a notion contrived by Scientology's founder L. Ron Hubbard, who wrote a book called A History of Man wherein he claims that humans evolved from clams (also known as boohoos and weapers).
These clams, Hubbard claims, had a serious problem in that the action of waves washing clams onto the beach and otherwise tossing them about created psychological problems in the clams which are therefor ingrained within humanity's collective psyche today.
Thus to "enturbulate" someone is to cause agitation and discomfort. So it is that enturbulation consists of someone speaking either unpleasant facts or slander about Scientology.
