Enrique Barón Crespo (born March 27, 1944, Madrid) is a Spanish politician and lawyer. He is a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party and sits with the Party of European Socialists group in the European Parliament.
Sr. Barón Crespo graduated in law from the University of Madrid, in 1965. As a practising lawyer, he specialised in labour law, and acted for defendants in political cases (1970–1977).
He was a Deputy in the Cortes (1977–1986) and was Minister of Transport, Tourism and Communications (1982–1985).
After election to the European Parliament he was President of the European Parliament (1989–1992), and has been PES Group chairman since 1999. He was Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (1992–1995) and is currently Chairman of the Committee on International Trade.
