Emperor Daigo (醍醐天皇) (885–930) was the 60th Imperial Ruler of Japan. His reign lasted from 897 to 930.
He was the eldest son of his predecessor Emperor Uda. His reign was admired by posterity because of his 34-year-long rule without any regents. He also ordered compilation of Kokin Wakashu, the oldest waka anthology compiled by imperial request. He is succeeded by his son Emperor Suzaku.
