Elcat

ELCAT is an electric vehicle manufacturer based in Järvenpää, Finland. It was owned by electricity producer Fortum. Elcat has been working on of 1974 to design electric cars for Nordic climate. First prototypes were made in 1985, the first commercial product was released in 1990 and production ceased in 2002, when Suzuki dropped the van model and Elcat hadn't enough resources to design the system to the new model. Up to now more than 160 cars have been made. Main users were Posti (post of Finland) and Stockholm-based delivery service. Now almost all cars are in second-hand use. Car models are:

- Citywagon 202, speed 88 km/h, distance 76 km
