Edmonton is a city located in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,586. It is the county seat of Metcalfe CountyTemplate:GR.

The racial makeup of the city is 96.72% White, 1.95% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. 0.50% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 686 households out of which 28.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.1% are married couples living together, 17.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.1% are non-families. 37.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 20.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
