According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 15.0 km² (5.8 mi²). 14.6 km² (5.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.93% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,742 people, 989 households, and 824 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 188.0/km² (486.9/mi²). There are 1,032 housing units at an average density of 70.8/km² (183.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 91.28% White, 0.36% African American, 1.86% Native American, 1.64% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 2.08% from other races, and 2.70% from two or more races. 6.82% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 989 households out of which 33.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.8% are married couples living together, 5.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.6% are non-families. 13.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.77 and the average family size is 3.03.
