According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.7 km² (1.4 mi²). 3.5 km² (1.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.55% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,070 people, 795 households, and 519 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 583.4/km² (1,514.1/mi²). There are 828 housing units at an average density of 233.4/km² (605.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 93.57% White, 0.34% African American, 3.24% Native American, 0.48% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.24% from other races, and 2.13% from two or more races. 1.64% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 795 households out of which 33.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.6% are married couples living together, 11.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.6% are non-families. 26.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.50 and the average family size is 3.01.
