Earlville is a city located in La Salle County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,778.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.0 km² (1.2 mi²). 3.0 km² (1.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,778 people, 678 households, and 484 families residing in the city. The population density is 591.8/km² (1,527.4/mi²). There are 708 housing units at an average density of 235.7/km² (608.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 97.64% White, 0.06% African American, 0.62% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.45% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. 2.02% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 678 households out of which 37.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.3% are married couples living together, 9.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.5% are non-families. 25.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.62 and the average family size is 3.16.
