Dream Evil was Dio's fourth album, released on July 21, 1987.
Its singles were "All The fools Sailed Away" / "Overlove" and "I Could Have Been A Dreamer".
Dream Evil was Dio's last album of the 1980s. By the time their next album was recorded in 1990, drummer Vinny Apice had left; he would be replaced by former AC/DC drummer Simon Wright.
The cover for the Dream Evil album was highly controversial due to the "altered" Dio logo on it. A logo that, as critics were quick to point out, when turned upside-down spells out "devil".
The band Dream Evil got their name from the title of this album.
