'Dravida Peravai' (Dravidian Front), political party in Pondicherry, India. DP was formed in 1996 by a break-away faction of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. The party claims to be a "green" party. The party general secretary is N. Nandhivarman.DP strives to unite Tamils imparting scientific outlook for enrichment of Tamil culture.DP had fought for national projects like Inter-linking of Rivers,Sedhusamudram Seaway and Tenth Degree Canal.DP forewarns about future continental and coastal changes affecting Tamil Nadu and Tamils.
DP supports Tamil struggles in Sri Lanka.
DP sees former minister of defence George Fernandes as the "International Torch-bearer of Socialism"-
