Doffing is a census-designated place located in Hidalgo County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 4,256.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.2 km² (4.3 mi²). 11.2 km² (4.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,256 people, 915 households, and 871 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 379.5/km² (982.0/mi²). There are 1,024 housing units at an average density of 91.3/km² (236.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 34.35% White, 0.02% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 64.92% from other races, and 0.70% from two or more races. 99.20% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 915 households out of which 75.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.9% are married couples living together, 11.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 4.8% are non-families. 4.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 4.65 and the average family size is 4.74.
