Dillinja

Dillinja is a drum and bass DJ and producer from Brixton in South London who, together with associate producer/DJ Lemon D, produce a hard, funk-break driven style of this music. He is considered a genius by many Drum and Bass fans for having pushed the boundaries of this kind of music forward from its inception in the early nineties, especially the way sub-bass frequencies are used within his music. This can only be fully experienced by hearing it over a drum and bass sound system, especially the Valve (http://www.valverecordings.com/) system, which shares its name with Dillinja's record label. Based on the earth-trembling, warm sound of the analogue Dub sound systems of the eighties, it is recommended that ear plugs be worn at his club nights - bass vibrations shake your entire body and different types of bass sounds vibrate different parts of your body in different ways.
Quote from producer DJ Krust: 90% of why drum and bass sounds the way it does today is down to Dillinja.
Albums include Cybotron, Big Bad Bass, The Killa-Hertz.
Dillinja takes his name from Dillinger, the 70s Jamaican reggae singer / DJ.
