Dieter Günther Bohlen (born February 7, 1954 in Oldenburg) is a German musician, producer and songwriter. In 1984-1987 and in 1998-2003 he was part of the pop duo Modern Talking as a producer, singer and songwriter. In 1986-1989 Dieter was a producer and songwriter of C.C.Catch. After first split of Modern Talking in 1987 he formed the group Blue System and participated as lead singer, composer and producer. Dieter also wrote music for many German movies, broadcasts, shows and tv-serials.
Dieter was married to Erika Bohlen from 1983 to 1994 and has 3 children from this marriage. In 1996 he was married to Verona Feldbusch (producer of popular German television shows "Peep" and "Verona's Welt"). In the same year he divorced with her.
He was in the jury of Deutschland sucht den Superstar (Pop Idol in Germany).
