Diet Vanilla Coke is the vanilla version of Diet Coke. It hit the supermarket stands in 2002. A product of The Coca-Cola Company based in Atlanta, it was introduced after the relative market success of its predecessor, Vanilla Coke.
The product contains carbonated water, caramel color, natural flavors, phosphoric acid, caffeine and other ingredients.
As part of the on-going market war between Coca-Cola and Pepsi, the latter released a Diet Vanilla Coke competitor in 2003, named Diet Pepsi Vanilla.
Just like with the other vanilla tasting refreshments, public opinion on the drink is divided; some like it, others think it doesn't taste like vanilla, or they just don't like the flavor of the refreshment.
