Devon-Berwyn is a census-designated place that probably describes the densely populated area at the center of what the residents and the post office consider the two separate towns of Devon and Berwyn, located in Chester County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, it had a total population of 5,067.
There is no governmental unit associated with either, and both are split between the governmental units of Tredyffrin Township (in the north) and Easttown Township (in the south).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.5 km² (2.5 mi²). 6.5 km² (2.5 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 5,067 people, 1,978 households, and 1,307 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 782.6/km² (2,028.1/mi²). There are 2,035 housing units at an average density of 314.3/km² (814.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 92.26% White, 4.52% African American, 0.16% Native American, 2.39% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.06% from other races, and 0.61% from two or more races. 1.14% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,978 households out of which 29.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.8% are married couples living together, 8.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 33.9% are non-families. 29.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.40 and the average family size is 3.00.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 21.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 89.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 83.7 males.
