Demographics of Myanmar
|
The following is an overview of the demographics of Myanmar, including statistics such as population and religious affiliation.
The population of Myanmar as of July 2003 was 42,510,537, as estimated by the CIA World Factbook. Estimates for Myanmar explicitly take into account the effects of excess mortality due to AIDS; this can result in lower life expectancy, higher infant mortality and death rates, lower population and growth rates, and changes in the distribution of population by age and sex than would otherwise be expected.
