Template:Politics of Serbia and Montenegro The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) (Демократска странка Србије / Demokratska stranka Srbije) is a political party in Serbia, led by Vojislav Koštunica, the last president of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It considers itself a conservative party and center-right.
It was a founding member of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia but split from the group in late 2001. At the last legislative elections, 28 december 2003, the party won 17.7 % of the popular vote and 53 out of 250 seats. From these seats 3 went to the People's Democratic Party, 1 to the Serbian Liberal Party and 1 to the Serbian Democratic Party. In 2004 NDS left coallition with DSS leaving it at 50 seats in the National Assembly of Serbia.
Its leader, Vojislav Kostunica, is currently the Prime Minister of Serbia.
