Delta Charter Township is a charter township in Eaton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 29,682.

Communities
- Delta Mills is an unincorporated community within the township on the Grand River between the cities of Grand Ledge on the west and Lansing on the east. It was first settled in 1836 and platted as "Grand River City" in 1841, but never incorporated. The community became known as Delta Mills due to the grist mill located there and the township.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 90.6 km² (35.0 mi²). 89.4 km² (34.5 mi²) of it is land and 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.31% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 29,682 people, 12,559 households, and 8,075 families residing in the township. The population density is 331.9/km² (859.6/mi²). There are 13,112 housing units at an average density of 146.6/km² (379.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 85.59% White, 8.00% African American, 0.40% Native American, 2.58% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 1.29% from other races, and 2.10% from two or more races. 3.72% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 12,559 households out of which 28.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.1% are married couples living together, 9.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.7% are non-families. 29.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.33 and the average family size is 2.92.
In the township the population is spread out with 22.9% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 28.0% from 25 to 44, 26.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 89.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 86.3 males.
The median income for a household in the township is $52,711, and the median income for a family is $65,429. Males have a median income of $48,520 versus $32,776 for females. The per capita income for the township is $27,048. 5.0% of the population and 3.8% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 5.8% of those under the age of 18 and 6.4% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
