David Marks

David Marks (born 1947) is a musician. He was with the Beach Boys in 1962 and 1963, but was replaced by Al Jardine (whom he had had to succeed because Jardine wanted to go to university in 1962) Marks played rhythm guitar and sang harmony vocals. He was replaced again by Jardine, probably because the latter's university career had faltered and Jardine fitted in better in the band, musically and socially. Marks rejoined the Beach Boys in 1997 but left in 1999 and is still touring with his two bands, The Marksmen and Beach Party!.
