Dangerous Dave is an Apple II game that was written by John Romero as an example game to accompany his article about his GraBASIC Applesoft BASIC add-on for the UpTime disk magazine.
Since the original 1988 publishing of Dangerous Dave on the UpTime disk magazine, there have been 3 sequels and 3 ports of the original to other platforms.

Trivia
Dangerous Dave is a hugely popular game in India's school system. Although computer technology in the schools lags significantly behind those found in more modernized states, the original PC version of Dangerous Dave is often within the limits of what is playable.
